Kara Nordstrom, a native of Illinois, has nearly 25 years of experience as a graphic designer.
After graduating from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1998, she began her career at the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives in Springfield, Illinois. In 2005, she relocated to Austin, Texas, where she joined Community Impact Newspaper. She has been a dedicated member of the design team there for 15 years.
From childhood, Kara loved coloring and could spend hours drawing. Her lifelong passion for art continues to influence her work through vibrant colors and strong visual storytelling.
Kara and her husband, Chris, have two beautiful daughters who also share their mother’s love of drawing.
Known for her tenacity, strong work ethic, and friendly personality, Kara is highly reliable, deadline-oriented, and thrives in collaborative environments. She is always eager to embrace new opportunities and adventures in both her personal and professional life.
